Little Days w/Bernie Barlow

Little Days comes to Keene on October 2nd with Bernie Barlow for their Birdies debut! Don’t miss this amazing show. $15 tickets available at the door or online right here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/little-days-w-bernie-barlow-live-at-birdies-tickets-1598066031519?aff=oddtdtcreator

Little Days started as a studio project with vocalist Mini Diaz and bassist Jorgen Carlsson back in 1998 and is one of the significant projects these life partners have had during the 30+ years they’ve known each other. They started a family together, own Rogers Boat recording studio, Carlsson records and tours for other artists and Diaz wrote library music for Film and TV.

A big part of their process includes recording straight onto analog tape and then mixing onto analog masters. They don't rely on auto tuning, drum machines or sequencing but instead they have live studio musicians playing their real instruments. The aim is to have their recordings sound like a missing tape reel found in a vault circa 1978, inspired by the pop rock music of that time inviting the listener to dive in and create their own story with Diaz’ lyrical style. Check out their website here: http://www.littledays.net/

Bernie Barlow has spent her career backing up some of the brightest lights in blues and rock music, including many years as a backing singer for the Moody Blues, Sarah McLachlan, Melissa Etheridge, and Janiva Magness. In 2020, the UK-born, Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter released Redeemed, which found itself in the top 100 Americana albums of 2020. This success of Redeemed lead to her being signed to Blue Elan Records for her current release Walking Around This Town. The skillful songwriting, high production value, and musicianship of Walking Around This Town reflect Barlow’s long career in the industry.

With six-time Grammy nominated producer David Darling, Barlow surrounded herself with a group of top studio players including Paul Bushnell (Tim McGraw, Faith Hill), Dave Raven (Shelby Lynn), John Schroeder (Pomplamoose, Dancing with The Stars), Paul Trudeau (Melissa Etheridge, Billy Idol), and a guest artist appearance of blues rock guitarist Philip Sayce. The resulting album draws on Barlow’s love of americana music, and her rich, emotional voice delivers an authentic and powerful set of recordings. Check out her website here: www.berniebarlow.com

Signature Dish w/Party of the Sun

Western Mass group Signature Dish makes their Birdies debut! Local favorites Party of the Sun open. Doors at 6, show 6:30-9pm. Tickets available here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/signature-dish-and-party-of-the-sun-live-at-birdies-tickets-1549691070709?utm-campaign=social&utm-content=attendeeshare&utm-medium=discovery&utm-term=listing&utm-source=cp&aff=ebdsshcopyurl

Signature Dish is a band co-fronted by singer-songwriters Lexi Weege and JJ Slater. Playing songs from each other’s solo records, collaborative releases, and covers of blues, rock, soul, and folk, their high-energy performances turn heads whether they are performing as a duo or full band!

Party of the Sun is a psychedelic folk band from New Hampshire, composed of Ethan McBrien, Rory Hurley, and Garrett Cameron. Since 2006, both McBrien and Hurley have recorded and performed together in various projects. Throughout his career, McBrien has always had an interest in folk music; writing many songs influenced by the Americana tradition. In the fall of 2015, McBrien and Hurley began recording this material. These collaborative sessions at McBrien’s home - a small sheep farm in Marlborough, NH - were the impetus of what has become Party of the Sun.

With coverage including Atwood Magazine, Under The Radar, Glide, UNXIGNED, For The Rabbits, and alexrainbirdMusic, Party of the Sun’s music has been described as heartfelt, warm, and meditative. Exploring themes of connectedness, time, nature, and fatherhood, Party of the Sun crafts timeless folk with nods to psychedelia and Americana. Party of the Sun has been featured in television shows such as Deputy on Fox and Charmed on The CW. They have shared the stage with acts including Bonnie “Prince” Billy, Haley Heynderickx, William Tyler, Habibi, Robert Randolph, Footings, and more.

Wallace Field w/ Wes & Paul- LIVE at Birdies!

Wallace Field makes her Birdies debut, with Wes & Paul opening! Tickets available here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/wallace-field-w-wes-paul-live-at-birdies-tickets-1389690825669?aff=oddtdtcreator

From the metaphorical ashes of a breakup to the literal ashes of a house fire, folk-rocker Wallace Field rises like a phoenix from the ashes with her debut album “All Costs,” out now. The album features nine original songs, took four years to make, and premiered on the fifth anniversary of the house fire. With her “powerful voice reminiscent of Joan Baez” (The Valley Advocate), Field stuns with her haunting, vulnerable songwriting and “crystalline voice” (The Recorder). The Boston Globe says "she always sounds like she means it." Most of the album’s songs were written on baritone ukulele, always with the aim to transform them into a more powerful full-band sound. Field grew up in western Massachusetts, where she currently resides. She’s performed in popular Massachusetts venues such as Cambridge’s Club Passim; Northampton's The Iron Horse and The Parlor Room; Race Street Live (formerly Gateway City Arts) in Holyoke; and Taffeta in Lowell. She's opened for acts like Nellie McKay, Charlie Parr, Heather Maloney, and Elizabeth Moen. Field also took part in Signature Sounds’ 2023 and 2025 Back Porch Festivals and 2023 Arcadia Folk Festival. She is currently working on her sophomore record.

Wes and Paul is an acoustic duo consisting of Wes Aldrich and Paul Venezia of the band Hug the Dog. The pair were the first act to ever perform on our stage back in November, and we can’t wait to have them back!

Jonathan Stephen Braught- LIVE at Birdies!

Jonathan Stephen Braught makes his Birdies debut this summer! Tickets available here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/1358985124089?aff=oddtdtcreator

Jonathan Stephen Braught is a solo artist blending psych rock, lo-fi country, and basement Americana. His songs are raw, weird, and darkly funny — like journal entries soaked in reverb. Known for his work in Modern Fools, his solo project dives into chaos with biting honesty. His latest album, Unorganized Crimes, was written and recorded in a week — a messy, heartfelt snapshot of memory, aging, and yelling into the void.
